Dryer

The air conditioning dryer is often also referred to as a climate filter and is connected via the air conditioning line. It filters the refrigerant with each cycle and absorbs suspended particles and abrasion.

Furthermore, the air conditioning dryer removes moisture from the air conditioning cycle due to the hygroscopic beads. This protects the system from corrosion.

The refrigerant is stored here for further transport to the expansion valve. The air conditioning dryer also has a storage function.
